Does anyone we should get a pool game on the 29th rather than watch the ageing over the hill 'Mighty' Harlequins forwards battling it out with the even older vintage 1st team forwards in a scene akin to Henry V and Agincourt...... Once more into the breach my friends....Cry Harry (Pindar?) St George (Heward)the Harlequins and England......Never in the field of Rugby have so many given so little to so few.........we will fight them in the changing room, in the bar, in the 22 and in the kitchens....it's all getting a bit silly at one point yesterday after much beer even Eddie and Spooky were on about donning armour and returning to the theatre of Seagull shite.
We don't have enough players as it is without the few remaining Gladiators kicking lumps off each other.
What about the Under 16's (with guests ie coaches to stiffen the frowards) playing an all star veterans side during the Xmas Break.
We could market it as 'The bright future v The Murky Past.

Too right a pool game would be the ideal scenario,as with my past expieriences,a unders/overs type game usually develops into a general free for all,not played in the seasonal spirit& a chance to put one over on someone you think has your shirt.
Also such game have the effect of splitting the club rather than bringing the club foreward together as one.

Hope the A team game or games at the weekend are selected on a equal basis, and not a case of the old pals act.Could the teams be listed weekly on the website or message board.

One fair starting point would be not to select anyone who has not paid their playing membership ?
Training this Tuesday should also count for something.

So you can be cra* at rugby but just because you pay your subs and train every week you get picked for the first team?
As for subs there are a lot in the second team who are only there to help out, pay their match fees but don't pay the subs. Are you seriously suggesting that if these sturdy chaps are willing to play and help out the seconds when needed you will turn them away if subs haven't been paid?
