I think there should be a new award at this years dinner for the person who has the worst excuse for not playing on a saturday.

The nominations so far are:

Mr David Straker
"I cant play this week lads because i didnt think i was going to play so my mother has put my kit in the wash this morning!"

Mr Andrew Watson
"I didnt play last week lads because i went to York to see a panto.

When challenged about it, this was his reply:

"Its a really good day out everyone from Castleton gets on a bus its mint!"

If anybody has heard any other pathetic excuses please add them on. But i reckon you will have to go some way to beat Wattys. Oh yes you will!! Oh no you wont!!! Its behind you!!

The northallerton game 27/12/07. Ben phones Ollie to pick him up on the way, then his girlfriend phones ollie to say he has to stay at home because he is poorly.

Drinking before a game! Shocking!! I know it wasnt a league game.

Mr Danny Dossor

Injured at the moment but will not support his team mate on a saturday because he was going shopping with his girlfriend.

Wasnt shopping. We went to the sea life centre instead!!!! And i am injured i dont think i will play again this season actually!!!! And if i arent playing i have i lot of things i can be doing like working and other things!!!!

What about excuses for not going out with the lads anyway!!!

Number 1 - James Gildroy! I believe it went something like .....

"Sorry lads i can't come out tonight i have to work its really important they have called me in at the last minute. Its top secret and i cant get out of it!!!"

When really .....

He was camping on the moors!!!!!

Or

Number 2 - Ollie Roberts (On numerous occasions)

"I'm going home ofr something to eat lads"

When really .....

He went home and fell asleep .....

Mind you number one has fallen asleep before, and on tour as well MR GILDROY!!!!!!!

After seeing him earlier, we were both talking that we both could not wait for tomorrows game. Then he piped up and said &quot;wish I could play tomorrow, I am going to a Buddhist meeting between 11am and 4pm!&quot;

Well at least we dont have to worry about sicknote this week.
