I'm back in the country next week for a couple of weeks, just wondering if there'd be any chance of a game on the 3rd? only played a couple of games out here in australia as its the start of the season, but i did play at subiaco oval last weekend in the curtain raiser for the super 14 game? anyway i'll be there to support with my boots no matter what! see you all in a few days!

If I was a Whitby player I would be outraged at the cheek of the above player unselfishly offering his services for the cup game and seemingly assuming that he will walk back into the team. Where has he been all winter? Has he been training? Does he not realise there are 2 teams of players who would relish the chance to play? I hope the selectors feel the same. WHOOOOOOooooooo
PS Due to other commitments I cannot make myself available for selection this week although clearly I would have been an asset to the side.

was only a thought, if there are enough players then obviously I wouldn't expect to play! as for training I wasn't able to make it over the winter as i can't afford to fly twice weekly from western australia to the show field!

As an ex player I agree with Ric Flair. In the last cup run we had we had 17 players, up until the final that is when we had an influx of players who hadn't been playing all season and the selectors were put under immense pressure to pick them. It wasn't fair on the selectors and it wasn't fair on those players who had been there all season. It's always good to see players coming back to the club but not for them to offer themselves for immediate first team selection.
